CCI volunteers, Tammy and Lyndsey, will be familiar faces to our Langloch Shop customers. But this week they had the opportunity to find out more about another side of retail, when they had a Taster Session at Oxfam Lanark.
A Taster Session is when we work with local groups and charities, who also have volunteers, to provide CCI volunteers with new opportunities that push them out of their comfort zone.
Many thanks to Amanda at Oxfam for making Lyndsey and Tammy so welcome and for helping them to have such an enjoyable session.
Did you know that next week is Volunteers Week?
If you are interested in finding more about volunteering in your local community, or if you are an organisation* that would like to attract more volunteers, then please come along to our Volunteer Festival, next Wednesday at SL Lanark Lifestyles.
*Please contact vicky@cciweb.org.uk if you would like a stall at this event.
