Ceilidh to the Cairn – A sponsored walk with a difference
We here at Langloch Farm are super excited to launch Ceilidh to the Cairn, an amazing sponsored event we hope will involve lots of fun, laughter and, most importantly, plenty of funds raised to ensure we can continue to grow and support our amazing Participants. All along the path to the summit we will have some staged mini-challenges which will be – yes you guessed it – dances, all of which need to be completed in order to successfully say you Ceilidh’d to the Cairn for CCI.
Weather permitting we will have a final group dance at the Cairn before making our way back down the hill in a much more conventional manner. At each staged challenge you will collect a themed gift to reward you and encourage you to keep on walking.
Register today and start getting those sponsors in; we’d love for you to join us! We recommend you sign up to join our campaign over on the Given Gain website, and then create your own personalised campaign page, which your friends and family can sponsor you via. We will showcase your pages as we head towards 17 May 2025 so make sure you make them as eye-catching as possible. As the weeks tick by, we aim to furnish this page with a host of fundraising suggestions to encourage you all to make the most of your fundraising efforts.
If you would prefer a more traditional approach to your fundraising, you can download our sponsor form here: Sponsor Form CTTC
Given Gain is a fantastic platform that will allow you to create your own personalised sponsorship page using our campaign details. Each page will be unique to the creator, allowing them to tailor the images and language to suit their own circle of friends and family to maximise sponsorship – which is what we like to hear!

The Housekeeping Bit
1. The number of dance challenges will be confirmed closer to the event – you can choose whether your sponsors donate “per dance” or a flat donation amount.
2. The event start time is currently scheduled as 9.30am, following on from registration for all participants. We would ask all participants to arrive in good time to allow for distribution of any event goods and materials, and to participant in the group “warm-up” prior to starting off.
3. First-Aiders will be on site for the entirety of the day, with suitable vehicles on-site for emergencies. We ask all participants to pay attention to any instructions or safety briefings given on the day.
4. In the event of severely inclement weather – we will take every effort to cancel the fundraiser as soon as possible to prevent wasted journeys – and will reschedule for the first appropriate date thereafer.
