Wooden Hedgehog House

Description

These sweet wooden hedgehog houses are made by our skilled volunteers in our workshop in Lanark.  Having a hedgehog house (or two!) in your garden is the perfect way to support wildlife and sustain local populations.  We may call them hedgehog houses but plenty other small animals will be grateful for the shelter from Scottish weather, and protection from predators.

We have a selection of wooden Hedgehog Houses already made and available to buy.  Each Hedgehog House is handmade by our Participants in the  Woodcraft Department and as such each one is unique.  Just like the animals they are designed to protect, no two of the Homes are alike!

Don’t forget; We specialise in made to measure garden furniture and planters so if you can’t see what you would like don’t hesitate to get in touch, we are always more than happy to be challenged by new ideas.

How to create the perfect Home for a Hedgehog:  Fill with dried leaves and place out of direct sunlight, undercover and with the entrance facing away from prevailing winds. Hedgehogs eat snails and slugs, so they are an excellent little animal to encourage into the garden!

1.  This is a handmade and hand-finished item built from scratch by our amazing Participants.  If you are planning to purchase multiple Hedgehog Homes; please remember that each Home will be unique because of this.

2.  If you live local to Langloch Farm we can arrange delivery of this item for a small fee.
