Placements & Referrals

“It gives me something to look forward to and helps me to feel like I’m giving back to the community.”

At Clydesdale Community Initiatives we believe that individuals should not be defined by their support needs but instead recognised for the contribution they can make. Our award-winning social enterprise and inclusion model offers person-centred training and support for participants to work in a range of vocational environments.

Our Supported Volunteering Placements are available to individuals referred to us by their GP, Occupational Therapist, Community Mental Health Worker or other support agency.

Supported Work Placements are also available to adults with learning disabilities, autism or other complex needs.

We also offer Supported Training Placements to young people who are experiencing barriers to education, training and employment.

Each participant has a designated keyworker who identifies their personal, social and vocational goals in an individual, person-centred plan and supports goal achievement through relevant training opportunities.

Funding

Education and training placements for young people are funded by the referring agency or school.

Placements for adults with complex support needs are funded through Self-Directed Support (SDS) budgets.

SDS is a Scottish Government strategy designed to give people more choice, control, flexibility and creativity over how their support is provided. SDS can be used in a variety of ways to meet your support needs. Anyone assessed as needing social care services is eligible for SDS, with a few exceptions.

To find out more about SDS visit www.selfdirectedsupportscotland.org.uk.

If you would like to find out more about a placement at CCI please either call us on 01555 664211 or email us at enquiries@cciweb.org.uk.
